Thursday, December 9, at approximately 12:00 p.m., four male adults were arrested for operating an illegal marijuana dispensary on the 2000 block of E. Florence Avenue in the city of Los Angeles. Custody Investigative Services detectives gathered information that narcotics were being smuggled by the suspects into the Los Angeles County jails. With the assistance of LASD Narcotics Bureau and deputy personnel, the investigation led detectives to execute a search warrant at the illegal dispensary which was operating as a legitimate business in the Century Sheriff’s Station jurisdiction.
Two suspects were enroute to open the location, while two suspects were in front of the illegal dispensary at the time the search warrant was executed. The suspects were in possession of two handguns and two assault rifles. Both assault rifles were fully operational ghost guns (firearms which do not have serial numbers, and can be assembled at home without a license or background check). The assault rifles were fully loaded with military-style tracer rounds.
Also recovered at the location was 50 pounds of marijuana, one ounce of methamphetamine, and $12,000 in cash.
