Find the perfect gift at the Holiday Market Showcase
This Sunday, Dec. 19, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., the "Holiday Market Showcase" will come to life at Hoboken’s historic Lackawanna Ferry Terminal and the surrounding Hudson Place area.
This open-air market, organized by the Main Street Pops and the Hoboken Business Alliance, will feature over 100 local artisan vendors, live music, food trucks and more.
Live performances include The Fuzzy Lemons, the Hoboken High School Marching Band & chorus, James Calleo, and more.
Don’t forget to snap a picture with Santa Claus at 12 p.m.!

City offers discounted parking
To help support local businesses this holiday season, the City is offering free parking in municipal garages B (28 2nd St.), D (215 Hudson St.), and Midtown (371 4th St.) for up to four hours per day on weekends through Sunday, Dec. 26. In order to redeem the free parking, drivers need to show the garage attendant a receipt showing a purchase of at least $20 at Hoboken shopping or dining establishments.
The City is also offering discounted metered on-street parking. Drivers must use promo code "PARKHOB" in the ParkMobile app to receive 50% off parking sessions in select zones through the end of the year.
Join the Hoboken Housing Authority’s Winter Wonderland celebration
On Monday, Dec. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. stop by the Hoboken Housing Authority’s winter wonderland holiday celebration. The event, sponsored by the HHA Residents Advisory Board and West Side Women, will include a toy give away by the Hoboken Police Department and Hoboken Fire Department, caroling, music, treats and more.
The special holiday celebration will take place in the Harrison Gardens Courtyard at 320 Jackson St.

Hoboken Police Department institutes temporary curbside parking regulations this weekend
Due to an expected increase in traffic activity on Saturday, Dec. 18, the Hoboken Police Department and Hoboken Parking Utility will be implementing temporary changes to curbside parking regulations on several downtown blocks to improve public safety throughout the day.
Beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing through 2 a.m. on Dec. 19, the following curbside parking zones will be temporarily reserved for deliveries and passenger pick up/drop-off only:
- Newark Street (north side) from River Street to Washington Street
- 1st Street (both sides) from Hudson Street to Bloomfield Street
- Washington Street (east side) from 1st Street to 3rd Street
- Hudson Street (both sides) from 2nd Street to Observer Highway
- River Street (both sides) from Hudson Place to 1st Street
- Sinatra Drive (west side) from 1st Street to 4th Street
Temporary No Parking signs have been posted throughout the above areas to identify the areas reserved for passenger pick up/drop-off and deliveries only. Unless otherwise posted, these temporary parking changes will expire at 2 a.m. on Dec. 19 and then revert to the permanent regulations posted on each block.
Say hi to Santa this Tuesday
Children across the City will have the opportunity to wave hi to Santa Claus as he rides throughout the streets of Hoboken with the assistance of the Hoboken Fire Department next week.
Santa will begin his journey on Tuesday, Dec. 21 starting at 3:30 p.m. from the Observer Highway Fire House.

Hoboken seeks qualified consultant for fourth resiliency park
Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken announced that the City is seeking a qualified consultant to engage in an open public process for the design of the City’s newest resiliency park planned for 800 Monroe St.
The 1.43-acre property is envisioned as a world-class resiliency park and community space that will be integral to the neighborhood, mitigate rainfall flooding in western Hoboken, and connect the Green Circuit as detailed in the City’s Master Plan.
