*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Detectives Assisting El Monte PD with a Death Investigation, 11300blk Cedar Circle, #ElMonte
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to assist El Monte Police Department with a death investigation. The incident was reported Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at approximately 10:54 p.m., on the 11300 block of Cedar Circle in El Monte.
El Monte PD officers responded to a check the welfare call for service. When they arrived, they found a woman lying inside the location suffering from significant trauma to the upper body. The 89 year-old female White victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Officers received information regarding a possible suspect. He was located, detained as a person of interest, and has since been arrested for the murder. The 31 year-old male White suspect is believed to be the grandson of the victim.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to the 11300 blk. Cedar Circle, El Monte, to assist the El Monte Police Department with a blunt force death investigation. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at approximately 10:54 PM.
The female adult was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
