On December 12, 2021 (Sunday), at approximately 1:40am, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to person down on the west shoulder of 25^th Street East, just south of Crosspointe Drive in the city of Palmdale. 
 
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 12, 2021, a pedestrian was struck by an unknown black vehicle, which was driving southbound on 25^th Street East.  The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The black vehicle sustained traffic collision damage to the front passenger side and is missing the passenger side mirror.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.
