On December 09, 2021, at approximately 11:53 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence in the 200 block of Second Street in the city of Fillmore.  During the investigation, deputies and detectives learned that Lang Martinez was previously in a dating relationship with the victim.  At approximately 11:30 p.m., Lang unlawfully entered the victim’s residence and battered her while she was asleep on her bed.  Lang took the victim’s cellphone when she told him that she was going to call for help.  Lang also had a firearm which he pointed at the victim’s head.  The victim fought back and was able to kick the firearm out of Lang’s hand.  The victim was then able to run outside of her residence and drive to the Fillmore Police Station to notify law enforcement.  During a search at the victim’s residence, deputies located the firearm that Lang had pointed at the victim.

At approximately 9:20 a.m., a deputy observed a vehicle Lang was associated with traveling in the area of Sespe Avenue and “A” Street in Fillmore.  A traffic stop was conducted on that vehicle which was being driven by Lang.  Lang was taken into custody and later booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for violation of Penal Code Section 273.5(a) – Domestic Violence, Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Penal Code Section 211 – Robbery, Penal Code Section 422(a) – Criminal Threats, Penal Code Section 459 – Burglary, Penal Code Section 29800 – Possession of Firearm by Felon.  Lang’s bail is set at $1,000,000 dollars.
