Between 08/04/21 and 11/29/21, Thousand Oaks experienced a series of commercial burglaries at local marketing, digital and photography businesses. Thousands of dollars in Apple computers and photography equipment were stolen from these businesses.
Investigators with the Thousand Oaks Investigations Bureau, Career Criminals Unit collaborated   with detectives and Crime Analysts with LASD-Lost Hills, Glendale Police Department and Laguna Beach Police Department and the suspect was identified as Roderick Davis. He is believed to be responsible for dozens of burglaries between San Diego and Ventura Counties.

Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Investigations Unit and patrol deputies authored numerous search warrants while the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Burglary Robbery Task Force (BRTF) conducted surveillance operations to identify Davis’ location.

On 12/07/21, a warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest for two burglaries that occurred in Thousand Oaks. On 12/08/21, detectives with LASD BRTF contacted Davis in the city of Pomona and arrested him for the warrant. Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Investigations Bureau took custody of Davis and transported him to Thousand Oaks. Detectives served a search warrant at Davis’ motel room and vehicle. Evidence was located linking Davis to the burglaries in Thousand Oaks.  Davis was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for 2 counts of P.C. 459 Burglary.

Davis remains in custody with bail set at $50,000, with an arraignment date of 12/10/21.
