*UPDATE* #LASD Advising 4 Suspects Arrested in Home Depot Flash Mob Burglary on Hardwick St, #Lakewood

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Major Crimes Bureau, Metro Detectives have made four arrests in the Lakewood Home Depot flash mob burglary, with the assistance of Beverly Hills Police Department Officers.  The arrests were made Saturday, November 27, 2021 at approximately, 2:20 a.m., on the 400 block of North Rexford Drive in Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills PD Officers spotted a red vehicle with front end collision damage, matching the description of a flash mob burglary vehicle in Lakewood earlier in the evening, Friday, November 26, 2021. They conducted a traffic stop to investigate. The vehicle contained four male occupants who were all dressed in dark clothing. They also found new tools in the vehicle, possibly from Home Depot. All of the occupants were further detained pending the arrival of LASD personnel, as was the red vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the earlier crime.

Once LASD detectives arrived, they took the suspects into custody to be transported and booked at Lakewood Station for conspiracy to commit burglary.

Suspect Everett Lestorkindle, male Black 22 years-old, and resident of Hawthorne. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and is due in Bellflower Courthouse Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Suspect Bronz Jackson, male Black 20 years-old, and resident of Los Angeles. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and is due in Bellflower Courthouse Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Suspect Shawn Jones, male Black 19 years-old, and resident of Los Angeles. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and is due in Bellflower Courthouse Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Suspect Daniel DeHughes, male Black 19 years-old, and resident of Los Angeles. He is being medically treated prior to being booked.

There are still several more suspects, and suspect vehicles, being sought in this flash mob burglary and many more like it.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS:

At approximately 1946 hrs, on 11/26/21, approximately 8 MB/A’s entered the Home Depot (5200 Hardwick St, Lakewood) and walked directly to the tool isle. 

They then selected various hammers, sledgehammers and crowbars approximate value of 400 dollars. 

The suspect(s) were then seen exiting the store with the selected items and possibly entering a red in color Mercedes Benz with severe damage to the front of the vehicle.  

There were several other vehicles seen in the parking lot at the time of the above incident, however it is unknown if they were involved in the theft. 

No other information is available at this time.
