Sheriff's Office investigating a shooting death on Lady's Island. No public safety threat, subject located at scene 
Late this afternoon, October 16, 2021, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a shooting at a residence on Brickyard Point Road North, Lady's Island.
When deputies arrived, they found an adult male deceased inside the residence.
It was apparent the man died as a result of a gunshot wound or wounds.
There is no public safety threat, as the person of interest in the shooting was located at the scene.
Investigators are on scene processing for forensic evidence and interviewing witnesses.
As of this point in the investigation, no one has been charged.
The identity of the deceased man will be released when next of kin has been notified by the Beaufort County Coroner's Office.
