Narrative: | |||||
A known subject was arrested for his involvement in a residential burglary, and possession for sale of a controlled substance. On 09/19/2021, Camarillo Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of La Loma Avenue regarding a residential burglary in progress. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who noticed a window missing from the rear of the residence and property from the residence lying on the ground below the missing window. Deputies began their investigation and started searching the area. In doing so, deputies contacted, (S) Adrian Estrella near the residence. Estrella stated he observed two subjects flee from the residence and into a nearby orchard. Deputies, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and Air Unit conducted an extensive search of the area but were unable to locate any suspects. Through the ongoing investigation, deputies located a vehicle in the victim’s garage that was associated to Estrella. Deputies determined Estrella was responsible for the residential burglary and fabricated the story of the two subjects fleeing from the residence. Camarillo detectives followed up with the investigation and authored search warrants for Estrella’s vehicle and storage units. As a result of the search warrants, further evidence was located linking Estrella to the burglary and possession of controlled substances for sale. Estrella was arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail for the aforementioned violations. On 10/04/2021 the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office filed one felony count of PC 459 – burglary and one felony count of HS 11378 – possession for sale of a controlled substance against Estrella. |
