IMPORTANT ELECTION UPDATES
LATE-NIGHT VOTER REGISTRATION

Tuesday, October 12, 2021 is the last day for residents to register to vote for the November 2, 2021 General Election in the State of New Jersey. In order to be eligible to vote, a person must be an American Citizen, be 18 years old on or before November 2, 2021, and be a resident of New Jersey and Bergen County.

Leonia residents may register to vote by one of the following ways:

• At the Office of the Borough Clerk located at Leonia Borough Hall, 2nd Floor, 312 Broad Avenue, Leonia, NJ 07605. Although Borough Hall is only open to the public until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, the Office of the Borough Clerk will remain open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12th. If you arrive after 7 p.m., please call 201-592-5780 ext. 256 to notify us that you are dropping off your Voter Registration Application and someone will assist you.

GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION

There are 3 ways to vote in the November 2, 2021 General Election. They are as follows:

OPTION 1: Go to your regular polling location on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2, 2021

Please be advised that the sole polling place is the Recreation Center Gymnasium located at 370Broad Avenue. All election districts will be located within this polling location. Polls will be open 6a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd.

OPTION 2: Vote by Mail

If you have not applied previously and would like to Vote by Mail, applications must be submitted to the Bergen County Clerk’s Office and received by October 26th. You can check your status by contacting the Bergen County Clerk’s Office at 201-336-7020 or [email protected].

You may cast your Vote by Mail ballot in one of three ways:

1. Mail it as soon as possible. Your ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day.
2. Drop your completed ballot at one of the Secure Ballot Drop Boxes, located throughout Bergen County, by 8 p.m. on November 2nd (Please visit www.bergencountyvotes.com for Drop Box locations.)
3. Deliver your Vote by Mail ballot in person to the Board of Elections located at 1 Bergen County Plaza – Room 310 by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

OPTION 3: Vote at any in-person Early Voting Location

Early Voting Locations will be open Saturday, October 23rd through Sunday, October 31st. Hours are Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
