LA Sheriff’s Homicide Seek Renewed Public Interest, Leads from Estephan Hernandez’ Memorial Site; $10K Reward, Compton

 
Who:   Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Captain Joe Mendoza, Lieutenant Brandon Dean, Detectives Marc Boisvert, Louie Aguilera, Maria Maciel; and friends and family of the victim.

What:   On the four year anniversary of Estephan Hernandez’ murder, LA Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives will hold a press conference at the scene of Estephan’s murder, seeking to renew public interest and stir conversation within the community, for any and all information that may lead to an arrest of his killer(s).

The site of an ongoing makeshift memorial, friends and family of Estephan will join sheriff’s officials in speaking about the life of the vibrant 21 year-old Cal State Long Beach honor student, and how in the four years since his murder, they push forward in seeking justice. 

A $10,000 reward approved by The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).

Where:      East 148th Street, between Bahama Avenue and Loness Avenue in Compton.
