NARRATIVE:   
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a 69 year old black man in Compton. 
 
Compton Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a home in the 14000 block of South Harris Avenue regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service early Friday morning at 12:19 am.  Upon arriving, they discovered the victim unresponsive inside the home suffering from apparent stab wounds. 
 
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment in efforts to save his life. The victim was pronounced dead at 5:35 am this morning. 
 
A black woman, reported to be the victim’s 59 year old sister, was arrested for the victim’s murder Friday morning. The woman was booked on murder charges at Century Regional Detention Center. 
 
The names of the victim and suspect are not being released at this time.
