Ohio woman arrested in Needles for possession of stolen vehicle

INCIDENT: Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
LOCATION: 2400 Block of Needles Hwy
SUSPECT(S): Elizabeth Cromer, Age 22, Resident of Akron, Ohio
VICTIM(S): Enterprise Rent-A-Car
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 13, 2021, at approximately 9:43 a.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department were dispatched to the area of N. K Street and Smokestack for an area check of a white Hyundai Kona reported stolen out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Deputies began checking the area and located the vehicle near the 2400 block of Needles Hwy. A traffic stop was initiated on the stolen vehicle. The driver, Elizabeth Cromer, stopped the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident. Cromer had two dogs in the vehicle and they were released into the care of Needles Animal Control.
Cromer was arrested and booked into the Needles Jail for PC 496D(A), Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, with a bail amount of $50,000.00 pending a court appearance.
