INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Firearm while under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: Rio Vista / Dapitshu, Big River, CA
SUSPECT(S): Rick Holt, Age 43, Resident of Parker, AZ
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, September 10, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies assigned to Colorado River Station conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rio Vista Drive and Dapitshu in Big River. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Rick Holt, who was known to be on active parole. During the investigation, Holt was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of a loaded .45 caliber, semi-automatic handgun.
Holt was placed under arrest for PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a loaded firearm and HS 11550E, Possession of a loaded firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance. Holt was booked in the Needles Jail with a bail amount of $70,000.00, pending a court hearing.
