At about 3:25 p.m. today, officers responded to Gunn High School to investigate a report from a student that someone had made a verbal threat to shoot them. No gun was seen.
Information was quickly provided to police that the call was likely a hoax. As a precautionary measure, students and staff remained inside while the police investigation continued. At about 4:00 p.m., police were able to confirm that the threat was not credible.
If we have more information to release on this incident, we will do so later today or tomorrow. We thank our partners in the Gunn High School administration for their assistance with the investigation.
