On December 4, 2018, an adult male victim reported to the LASD Industry Sheriff’s Station that he was sexually molested in 2001 when he was 8 to 9 years of age by an adult male who befriended the victim’s family at their local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness church campus. After gaining the family’s trust, the suspect began to sexually molest the victim over the course of 6 to 8 months.
The suspect continued to be an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in the City of La Puente church organization until recently. The suspect’s participation in the church organization provided him access to church youth on campus and during youth activities.
On August 23, 2021, Detectives from the LASD Special Victims Bureau arrested the suspect near his La Puente home. The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office who filed one felony count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and one felony count of sodomy of a person under 14 years of age. The suspect’s bail amount was set for $450,000.00.
