A Rancho Cucamonga High School student was arrested & booked at juvenile hall for making criminal threats

INCIDENT: RANCHO CUCAMONGA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL THREATS
LOCATION: Rialto
SUSPECT: 16-year-old male, resident of Rialto
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at approximately 6:10 PM, deputies with the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department received multiple calls regarding potential threats to Rancho Cucamonga High School students that were posted on social media. Through the investigation, deputies learned the 16-year-old suspect is a student attending Rancho Cucamonga High School. Via social media, the suspect threatened to bring a gun to school the following day to harm students. Deputies served a search warrant at the suspect's residence in Rialto where he was taken into custody and a handgun was seized.
The juvenile suspect was arrested and booked at Juvenile Hall on charges of PC422 - Criminal Threats.
