Narrative:
(S) Dustin Alba was arrested for numerous sexual assault charges involving multiple victims.

On 06/26/2018, Alba was suspected of sexually assaulting a victim while the victim was visiting Alba at his residence in Chatsworth, within the city of Los Angeles.  Alba was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for attempted rape.  At the time, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office (LACDA) elected not to file the case (LAPD Report#18-17-12549).

On 01/04/2020, a second victim alleged Alba sexually assaulted her while she was visiting him at his residence in the city of Thousand Oaks, Ventura County.  The case was submitted to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office (VCDA) for filing consideration.

On 08/23/2020, a third victim reported Alba raped her while at Alba’s residence.  At the time of this incident, Alba resided in the unincorporated area of Oxnard in Ventura county.

On 09/14/2020, detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit arrested Alba for rape, and also included the additional sexual assault charges for the 01/04/2020 investigation.  The VCDA’s Office coordinated with the LACDA’s Office and Alba was charged for the offense related to the initial report on 06/26/2018.

During the course of the 08/23/2020 investigation, two additional victims were identified and contacted.  Neither had previously reported the incidents to law enforcement.  One of the victims, a female minor at the time of the incident, alleged being raped by Alba at his residence in the city of Thousand Oaks in 2012.  The second victim alleged she was raped at Alba’s residence in Thousand Oaks in 2019.  On 08/13/2021, the VCDA’s Office charged Alba with additional sexual assault offenses perpetrated against these two victims.

Since 09/14/2020, Alba has remained in the custody of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail amount of $1,770,000.00.  Alba’s next court hearing is scheduled for 09/10/2021.

The Sheriff’s Office believes there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not been contacted.  Anyone with information related to any of these investigations is asked to call Detective Javier Chavez at (805) 384-4725.
