Earlier tonight, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Brams Point Road (Spanish Wells Plantation) on Hilton Head Island. 

When deputies arrived, they found the parked vehicle and began to investigate. 

A short time later, and not far from the parked vehicle, deputies found a deceased man on the ground close to a wall surrounding a resident's property. 

Investigating further, deputies found an identification inside the parked vehicle that appears to be that of the deceased man. 

At this point in the investigation, the cause of the man's death is not apparent nor has evidence been found to suggest foul play. 

Residents in Spanish Wells Plantation can expect an increased law enforcement presence over the next several hours.
