Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the death of a 81 year old woman in San Dimas.
Deputies from San Dimas Station responded to a residence in the 100 block of Citrus Ranch Road regarding a check the welfare call at approximately 5:15 PM Sunday afternoon. Upon arriving, deputies discovered the elderly female white victim unresponsive inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
It appears the victim had been dead for several days and her remains were in the advanced stages of decomposition. The cause of the victim’s death was not immediately identifiable and will be determined at autopsy.
Investigators will work with the Office of Medical Examiner-Coroner to determine the circumstances that led to the victim’s death.
