The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a Red Flag Warning for the North Bay Mountains due to the potential for lightning, which is in effect from 5 PM Sunday to 5 PM Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
 
 From the National Weather Service:

• WIND...Given the potentially dry nature of thunderstorms gusty and erratic winds will be possible with developed storms.
• TIMING...Thunderstorm threat most likely Sunday afternoon through early Monday afternoon.
• LIGHTNING...Isolated dry thunderstorms will be possible Sunday afternoon through early Monday afternoon.
• IMPACTS...Given the dry fuels over the higher elevations, any cloud to ground lightning strikes have the potential of starting new wildfires.

A Red Flag Warning is issued by the National Weather Service when low humidity, warm temperatures, dry fuels, and strong winds could combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger. Napa County and its incorporated municipalities have established standardized evacuation zones for the County.  Evacuation zones are boundary specific areas identified by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office that are used during emergencies to notify the public of imminent threat or danger. In the past, evacuation zones were different for each incident; now your evacuation zone will remain mostly the same and you can learn your zone for home and work and be ready to go when an alert requesting your zone evacuate is issued.
