Narrative:
On July 2, 2021, members of the Sheriff’s Gang Unit and Narcotics Street Team concluded an investigation involving the illegal possession of firearms and arrested Jeffrey and Joseph Delrio from Oxnard for various firearms violations.

In June, 2021, detectives obtained information regarding Jeffrey and Joseph being in possession of illegally obtained firearms.  Detectives began an investigation and found neither Jeffrey nor Joseph had any firearms legally registered to them through the California Department of Justice.  Additionally, Joseph had previous arrests that prohibited him from owning and or possessing any firearms or ammunition.

Detectives with the Narcotics Street Team served search warrants at Jeffrey’s residence in the 800 block of Azalea Street and Joseph’s residence in1500 block of North H Street, in Oxnard.

At Jeffrey’s residence, detectives located two unregistered firearms, holsters, and ammunition.  The firearms located are commonly referred to as “Ghost Guns” due to the lack of commercial serial number, which makes the firearms untraceable and allows the possessor to circumvent regulated background checks by the Department of Justice.  At Joseph’s residence, detectives found two unregistered firearms, two modified shotguns and ammunition.  One firearm was a “Ghost Gun” and the second firearm was not legally registered to anyone at the residence.

Detectives arrested Jeffrey and Joseph for various firearms related charges.  They were both booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and later released after posting bail.
