2021 Use of Fireworks Illegal
2021 Use of Fireworks Illegal
Okanogan County is experiencing extremely dry conditions due to the high temperatures, winds and no moisture causing hazardous fire conditions.
Okanogan County is currently under a BURN BAN and coming into the 4th of July weekend we want to remind everyone that FIREWORKS are “Illegal” in the un-incorporated areas of Okanogan County.
Please check with your city or town for their rules on the use of Fireworks with-in the city limits.
As of July 1, 2021, both the Colville Tribe and the City of Omak have prohibited the sale and ignition (use) of all FIREWORKS, within the boundaries of the Colville Reservation and the City of Omak.
Be Responsible, Be Smart, Do-Not set off FIREWORKS, so you are not the one trying to explain how that fire started.
