INCIDENT: PC 288(a) Lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14
SUSPECT: Jose Ruiz-Cuadros, 56-years-old, resident of Pomona
VICTIM(S): Confidential, seven-year-old female juvenile
SUMMARY:
In 2020, investigators from San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail assumed an investigation alleging historical sexual abuse to a seven-year-old female victim while in foster placement. CAC detectives identified Jose Ruiz-Cuadros as the suspect. Following an extensive investigation, CAC detectives discovered the crime occurred multiple times when the victim was seven years old.
On Monday, June 28, 2021, after an extensive investigation, CAC detectives arrested Jose Ruiz-Cuadros. He was booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for violation of PC 288(a) lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and is being held with a bail amount of $250,000.00. At this time, CAC detectives have not found any evidence that Jose had inappropriate contact with other foster children in the home.
