Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau investigators are advising they have arrested Sandra Chico for the murders of her three children. The incident was reported Monday, June 29, 2021, at approximately 12:45 p.m., on the 600 block of Ferris Avenue in East Los Angeles.
At the residence, deputies discovered three unresponsive children ages 3 years old and younger, two males and one female. They were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Based on their preliminary investigation, detectives have arrested their biological mother Sandra Chico for the three murders. Suspect Chico is a 28 year old female Hispanic. She is scheduled to appear in court, Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Wednesday, June 30, 2021 and is being held in lieu of $2,000,000 bail.

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death investigation of three small juveniles at the 600 block of Ferris Ave, East Los Angeles
Deputies from East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded to the location at the 12:45 PM this afternoon regarding a rescue call which indicated there were two small children not breathing at the location. .
Upon arrival, they were directed inside the residence where they discovered three unresponsive children all under the ages of 3 years old, two males and one female.
Deputies and Paramedics attempted lifesaving efforts and the three children were subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The biological mother of the children, a 28 year old female Hispanic, was detained and is currently being questioned regarding the incident.
Preliminary information revealed no prior reports of abuse or child neglect to this location or the involved individuals.
Homicide Investigators are processing the scene, collecting evidence, and are conducting interviews of family members and potential witnesses.
