Suspect:  Craig Spencer-Doran, 24-year old male (In-custody)

On Wednesday, May 12^th, 2021, at approximately 7:30 PM, Redwood City Street Crimes Suppression Team Detectives located a reported, stolen Ford Explorer parked and unoccupied in the area of Middlefield Road and Spruce Street.  Detectives were conducting surveillance on the vehicle when a male subject was observed entering the vehicle and sitting in the driver’s seat.  The subject, identified as Craig Spencer-Doran, was contacted and detained at the scene.  During a search of the vehicle, Detectives located an unregistered and loaded Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the front console.  Spencer-Doran admitted to stealing the vehicle and possessing the firearm.  He was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for vehicle theft, felon in possession of a firearm, and a concealed firearm within a vehicle.
