INCIDENT:  Attempted Murder
 
LOCATION: Apple Valley Gas Market, 16801 Dale Evans Parkway, Apple Valley
 
SUSPECT(S):  1) Matthew Thomas Chambers, a 25-year-old resident of Lenwood
                         2) Lillian Noel Martin, a 30-year-old resident of Hinkley
 
VICTIM(S):  29-year-old male resident of Yermo
 
 
SUMMARY: On Saturday, April 24, 2021, at approximately 11:36 pm, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing at the Apple Valley Gas Market located at 16801 Dale Evans Parkway in the Town of Apple Valley. Deputy Levi Kerr was first on scene and performed life-saving measures.
 
During the investigation, it was learned the victim was dropped off by two subjects in a red car, and the stabbing occurred on Dale Evans Parkway near the railroad tracks. Through investigative leads, the two suspects were identified as Matthew Chambers and Lillian Martin. On Thursday, April 27, 2021, detectives from the Apple Valley Police Department arrested Martin, and on Friday, April 28, 2021, deputies from the Barstow station arrested Matthew Chambers.
 
Martin was booked into High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder and accessory. She is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. Chambers was booked into the Barstow jail for attempted murder and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior Court on May 10, 2021.
