The Fairfield Police Department previously reported on a shooting incident that occurred on April 4th, 2021 in the 1000 block of Broadway St. We are now saddened to report the victim of the shooting passed away last Sunday. The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Fairfield resident Daniel Dejon Hughes. Our thoughts are with Daniel’s family and the community as we mourn his loss. The Fairfield Police Department’s Investigation Bureau has changed this to a homicide investigation and is working with the Solano County District Attorney’s Office on the appropriate charges.
