*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Detectives Responded to a Shooting Investigation, 1200 block of Central Avenue #Compton
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 24 year old male Hispanic. The incident was reported Sunday, April 18, 2021, at approximately 3:20 p.m., near the 1200 block of Central Avenue in the city of Compton.
Compton deputies were flagged down by a passerby indicating there was a gunshot victim at the location. Deputies responded to the area and noticed the victim seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Detectives are canvasing the area for possible witnesses and evidence to assist in the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
