On April 12, 2021 (Monday), at approximately 6:22 pm, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near Avenue S and Bela Street, which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale.
 
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 6:22 pm a pedestrian was lying in the westbound number two lane of Avenue S, just east of Bela Street, when he was struck by a vehicle that was driving westbound in the number two lane of Avenue S.  The driver of the vehicle was unable to avoid the collision.    
 
The 30 year old male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries on scene.  Anyone with information regarding the traffic collision is encouraged to call Palmdale Station’s Traffic Department at 661-272-2400.  The investigation is ongoing.
