Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult in Lancaster. The incident was reported on Friday, April 2, 2021, at approximately 11:57 p.m., on the 1100 block of Ovington Street, Lancaster.

Lancaster Station deputies responded to a residence in the 1000 block of West Ovington Street, Lancaster regarding a call of an assault with a deadly weapon.  When Deputies arrived, they discovered the victim, a male Black in his forties, unresponsive suffering from apparent stab wounds inside the home.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, a male Hispanic in his late twenties, had fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

There is no further description of the suspect or a vehicle at this time.  It is believed the victim knew the suspect and the stabbing occurred after a verbal altercation. 

The murder weapon remains outstanding.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
