City Emergency Ordinance 21-93 Proclamation of Emergency "Hunker Down" to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Throughout the Island
On March 31, 2021, Saint Paul Island Unified Command was informed that an individual performing essential work in our community has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual tested negative for COVID-19 prior to traveling to the island. The individual will complete a 10-day isolation on the island. The Saint Paul Island Unified Command has taken the following steps to insure the safety of the community:
- Individuals who traveled with the positive individual were contacted and will start a new 14-day quarantine.
- The individuals that were working the with positive individual and those individuals they reside with were contacted and will start a 14-day quarantine.
Today the City Council of the City of Saint Paul approved Emergency Ordinance 21-93 Proclamation of Emergency "Hunker Down" to Prevent the Spread of Covid-19 Throughout Saint Paul Island (see attached). The “hunker down” will begin April 1st at 6:00 pmand end on April 15th at 6:00 pm. This ordinance extended Emergency Ordinance 21-92 for an additional 30 days. This was not an easy decision but ultimately the safest decision for our community.
