**2nd UPD** #LASD Homicide Detectives Responded to a Death Investigation, 44000 block of 15th St West, #Lancaster

Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Victim Mena, which occurred in the city of Lancaster on Friday, March 26, 2021, at approximately 8:22 p.m. . 


On March 31, 2021, one of the suspects involved in the incident turned himself into the Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood Division. The suspect was transported to East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station where he was booked at 7:30 p.m. for murder. 

The suspect, Jajuan Termell Welch-Arroyo, is being held on no bail.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

**UPDATE PRESS RELEASE**
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a female Hispanic woman who was approximately 31 years of age.
 
Deputies from Lancaster station responded to the 44000 block of 15th Street West, in the City of Lancaster regarding a rescue call. When they arrived, they observed  the female victim lying in the street suffering from severe trauma after being struck by a vehicle.   
 
Detectives later learned that an incident occurred inside the apartment complex where the victim and her boyfriend were possibly robbed.
 
The suspects, who were described as two male blacks, were seen running from the apartment complex and into a light colored sedan. The victim chased after the suspects and was run over by their vehicle as they fled the scene.  
 
The victim suffered significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. 
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to the 44000 block of 15th Street West, Lancaster, to investigate the circumstances behind the death of a Female adult.  The incident was reported Friday, March 26, 2021, at approximately 8:22 p.m.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the Hospital.
