Gabriel Barron-Lange was arrested for a hit and run collision with injuries that occurred in February

SUSPECT: Gabriel Barron-Lange, 19-year-old resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 4:17 p.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Police Station responded to a hit and run traffic collision with major injuries in the intersection of Yucaipa Boulevard and 1st Street. Deputies arrived on scene and located a motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries. Deputies learned the motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a vehicle that fled prior to the deputy’s arrival.
During the investigation, deputies determined the vehicle which fled from the scene was a black Kia Forte and the driver was identified as Gabriel Barron-Lange. On March 02, 2021, an arrest warrant was issued. On March 22, 2021, Deputy A. Alcala located Barron-Lange and he was interviewed regarding the collision. At the conclusion of the interview Barron-Lange was transported and booked at the Central Detention Center.
