Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Walnut/Diamond Bar Station is investigating a hate incident that occurred Sunday, March 21, 2021, approximately 12:00 p.m. at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Diamond Bar Boulevard, Diamond Bar. There was a scheduled rally at the location, “Stop Asian Hate”. While attendees of the rally were in the crosswalk, the suspect drove through a red light at the intersection and antagonized them by yelling racial epithets.
The suspect was last seen driving southbound on Grand Avenue and out of view. The suspect’s vehicle license plate was captured on video footage and investigators are attempting to identify the male White in his 50’s.
No injuries were reported during this incident.
The facts of the incident will presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
