LOCATION: 300 block of N K St, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Richard Drew, 32 year old resident of Needles
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 10:20 am, deputies responded to the 100 block of N K St in Needles following the report of a possible trespassing. Upon arrival, deputies attempted to contact a male subject leaving the scene. The male subject fled on foot from the deputies, eventually hiding within a group of trees behind the 300 block of N K St. The male subject was detained by the deputies and found to be in possession of two unsheathed fixed bladed knifes with blades over 4 inches in length. The male subject was identified as 32 year old Richard Drew.
Drew was placed under arrest for PC 21310- Possession of a Dirk or Dagger and PC 148(a)(1)- Obstructing or Delaying Officers. Drew was booked at the Colorado River Jail and is currently being held on a bail amount of $25,000.
