NARRATIVE:
Sunday evening, March 7, 2021 at approximately 9:34 PM, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a vehicle near the City Terrace area they suspected to contain an illegal assault rifle. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued, travelling eastbound on the 10 Freeway.
The vehicle crashed at the S. Towne Ave. exit in the city of Pomona while attempting to exit the 10 Freeway at a high rate of speed.
Two adult Hispanic females and one adult Hispanic male were arrested and charged with possession of an illegal firearm.
A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
