This morning at about 4:52 am, Novato Police officers responded to a burglary alarm at Marin County Arms located at 500 Alameda del Prado. Officers discovered a green 1997 Honda CRV was driven into the building, breaking open the front window of the business. The vehicle remained wedged inside the business. NPD Canine Rookie and officers searched the building, finding no one inside the business or vehicle. Video surveillance recordings confirm the suspect, described as a male with light or tan completion, with short dark hair, wearing a black balaclava style mask (ski mask), black and yellow USC Trojans sweatshirt, black pants, and tan colored work boots fled on foot at about 4:49 am. The business is conducting an inventory to determine if any firearms were stolen. Detectives are actively investigating leads and processing evidence.
