Narrative:
On February 23, 2021, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team concluded a narcotics sales investigation involving Antonio Osuna from North Hollywood, who was involved in the sales of heroin to residents of Ventura County.

In early February, detectives obtained information regarding a sophisticated heroin distribution network responsible for the sales of heroin in Ventura County.  Detectives began an investigation and subsequently identified Osuna as one of the subjects involved in the sales of heroin.  Detectives were able to identify his residence located in North Hollywood and obtained a search warrant for Osuna, his vehicle and residence.

On February 23, 2021, detectives contacted Osuna while he was sitting in his vehicle in the 5000 Block of Evening Sky Drive in Simi Valley.  During a search of the vehicle, detectives located ten ounces of heroin in a hidden compartment within the vehicle.  Detectives also found large sum of money believed to be drug sale proceeds.  Osuna was arrested and transported to the East Valley Sheriff’s Station for processing.

Following the arrest, detectives served the search warrant at Osuna’s residence located in the 12000 Block of Yerba Street in North Hollywood.  Detectives found additional evidence indicative of narcotics sales.  Osuna was subsequently booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on narcotics sales charges.

Heroin is a contributor to both fatal and non-fatal overdoses taking place in Ventura County.  The Narcotics Unit is committed to aggressively target narcotics sales and help combat opiate overdoses in Ventura County.
