INCIDENT:    Murder Investigation
 
LOCATION: 15863 Lorene Drive, Victorville – Bombshells Bar & Grill
 
VICTIM #1:    Brian Manuel Lopez, 31 years old, resident of Hesperia (deceased)
VICTIM #2:    46-year-old male, resident of Victorville (injured)
 
SUSPECT:    Rick Anthony Magana, 40 years old, resident of San Bernardino
                         
 
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 1:43 a.m. deputies responded to a call of an assault at Bombshells Bar & Grill. While enroute to the call deputies were advised that victims had been stabbed during a fight. Deputies arrived and found the victim, Brian Lopez, suffering from stab wounds and provided medical aid until fire personnel arrived. Lopez was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A second victim, a 46-year-old man, was found suffering from a stab wound and facial injuries and he is expected to recover.
 
Detectives with the Homicide Detail responded to conduct the investigation. Detectives learned there was an argument between two subjects that escalated to a fight. Several people became involved and detectives believe Lopez was attempting to break up the fight when he was stabbed by the suspect, Rick Magana. Magana attempted to leave the scene, but the driver collided with two vehicles in the parking lot. Magana was detained by a Bombshells employee until deputies arrived.
 
Magana was transported to High Desert Detention Center and booked for murder.
