Deputies arrest woman for brandishing a firearm and pointing it at homes 
DATE/TIME: February 5, 2021, at approximately 4:20 P.M.
INCIDENT: Penal Code 21310 & Penal Code 417
LOCATION: 2000 block of Cortez Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Terry Scroggins, 61-year-old female resident of Needles
SUMMARY: On February 5, 2021, deputies from the Colorado River Station were notified of a woman with a gun in the area of Cortez Street and Coronado Street in the city of Needles. The female, later identified as Terry Scroggins, was brandishing the firearm and pointing it at residences in the area. Scroggins was contacted by deputies and detained at the scene. Additionally, deputies located four concealed knives on Scroggins' person.
Scroggins complied with orders given by deputies to drop the firearm and was taken into custody without incident. The firearm was examined and found to be a loaded BB gun. Scroggins was booked into the Needles Jail pending court hearing.
