On 01/26/2021 at 12:44 pm the Janesville Police Department was called to investigate a report of a Missing Person in the area of Mayfair Dr and Hawthorne Ave. The missing person was a twenty-five-year-old female, Janesville resident.
Patrol Officers and Detectives were involved in the search. On 01/26/2021 at 03:50 pm Officers and Detectives were called to the 1100 block of Woodman Rd for an outside death investigation. The death investigation was confirmed to be the twenty-five-year-old missing female.
The preliminary investigation does not indicate foul play or concerns for public safety. This matter is still under investigation. The name of the victim is being withheld as the Janesville Police Department is jointly working with the Medical Examiners Office as a part of the investigation.
