Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, a woman and injury of another. The incident was reported Monday, January 11, 2021, approximately 12:30 p.m., on the 14400 block of Marwood Street in Hacienda Heights.
Deputies from Industry Station responded to the location for an assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon their arrival, they were contacted by a male Hispanic adult outside the residence who stated he was assaulted by his brother who had fled the location prior to deputies arrival.
The same victim directed the deputies into the residence where they located a male and female Hispanic. They were both suffering from significant head trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives later learned that the suspect had assaulted his stepfather, mother and brother with a baseball bat. After the incident, the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction in a 2001 green Toyota 4Runner CA license plate #4RRH063. (Photo attached)
The male Hispanic victim (stepfather of suspect) is 73 years-old.
The female Hispanic victim (mother of suspect) is 65 years-old.
The third victim is a male Hispanic 37 years-old (brother of suspect). He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, Nelson Fermin Garibay, a male Hispanic 44 years-old, 5’8” tall, 180lbs. He is believed to be armed and dangerous. (Photo attached)
