COVID-19 Update for Jan. 5, 2021 – How to Get Tested, No Street Sweeping Tickets during Stay Home Order, and More

As we enter 2021, we again find ourselves at a difficult crossroads in the fight against COVID-19. As of Jan. 4, Santa Ana had 32,077 total confirmed positive cases and 380 deaths.

The Santa Ana CARES program ended last month, after the City of Santa Ana provided over $10 million in direct financial assistance to residents, businesses and nonprofits, more than 35,000 free COVID-19 tests and 300,000 masks, and visited over 100 park and neighborhood locations with our Mobile Resource Center.

Other COVID-19 testing options are still available from health care agencies and clinics. Rental assistance and small business grants are also still available.

The Governor has extended the Stay Home Order for our region until further notice. Learn more at https://covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs/.

During the Stay Home Order, the City of Santa Ana is not issuing street sweeping tickets.
