INVESTIGATING OFFICER: Traffic Officer LaRocca #85
DETAILS: On Sunday January 3, 2021 at 3:54 am Patrol Units and the WW Division of Fire & Emergency Services (WWDFES) were detailed Clarksville Road at the former BASF Property (near the pig pens) to a Serious Motor Vehicle Collision involving one (1) car that had overturned. Driver #1 was found to be entrapped and unconscious upon Patrol Units' arrival. The PJVFC worked to extricate Driver #1 from his 2009 Honda Accord which was at its final rest on its passennger's side. After being extracted from the Honda with serious injuries, WWDFES transported Driver #1 to Capital Health Regional Medical Center-Fuld.
The initial investigation by the WWPD Traffic Unit & Detective Bureau revealed the following; Vehicle #1 had been traveling Northbound on Clarksville Road and was approximately 8/10 of a mile North of Quakerbridge Road (near the pig pens at the former BASF property). Vehicle #1 left the roadway to the right, drove into a drainage ditch, and struck a concrete hood & (2) drain pipes. Vehicle #1 came to its final resting place on its passenger's side. There were no other occupants in Vehicle #1.
Driver #1 was listed in Critical Condition with Non-Life Threatening injuries. WWPD Traffic Unit & Detective Bureau are continuing the investigation.
