Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man and wounding of another. The incident was reported Sunday, December 20, 2020, at approximately 2:29 a.m., on the 400 block of West Avenue J-12 in Lancaster.
Deputies from Lancaster Station responded to an assault, gunshot victim call. When they arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds at the residence. They were both transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The first victim, male Hispanic 26 years-old, was shot in the upper torso just outside the residence and pronounced dead at the hospital. He was shot by suspect #1, male Hispanic in his 20’s.
The second victim, male Hispanic 22 years-old, was located inside the residence and suffered a non-life threatening injury. He was shot by suspect #2, also in his 20’s.
The victims are brothers.
Both suspects fled from the scene in an unknown direction.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
