Palmdale Vehicle vs. Vehicle Fatal Traffic Collision 12/08/2020.... 
On Tuesday December 8, 2020 at approximately 9:47 PM, Palmdale Deputies responded to a call of a traffic collision on Pearblossom Highway at the intersection of Cheseboro Road in the City of Palmdale.
Deputies learned a White Male adult, driving a white 2018 Dodge Journey, was traveling northbound on Cheseboro Road while a Hispanic Female adult, driving a white 2014 Ram Laramie, was traveling eastbound on Pearblossom Highway.
Preliminary investigation indicates the Male adult driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign on Cheseboro Road at the intersection of Pearblossom Highway. The 2014 Ram Laramie collided with the driver side of the 2018 Dodge Journey.
The Male adult driver and his Male adult passenger were treated for injuries on scene and transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The Female adult driver sustained minor injuries.
The Male adult driver of the 2018 Dodge Journey later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
There is an open investigation to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
Palmdale Station Traffic Investigator Detective Sherman responded to the scene. Pearblossom Highway was closed between Avenue T and 60th Street East during the collision investigation, concluding at approximately 0500 hours on December 9, 2020.
