Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man. The incident was reported Sunday, November 8, 2020, at approximately 5:40 a.m., on the 19000 block of South Laurel Park Road in East Rancho Dominguez, unincorporated Compton.  

Carson Station deputies responded to the call of an assault after a traffic collision. When they arrived, they found a male adult on the ground outside his vehicle suffering from multiple injuries.  

The male White victim, 67 years-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Investigators learned the victim and suspect were involved in a traffic collision, possible road rage. After the collision, they both exited their vehicles and started arguing. The argument lead to a physical altercation.

After the suspect beat the victim, he got into the victim’s vehicle and ran over the victim repeatedly. After the victim’s vehicle became disabled, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Responding deputies detained him down the street.

The suspect was identified by a witness and has since been arrested for murder.

His name is not being released at this time. The booking photo will not be released.
