Deputies arrest William Quintanar for possession of stolen vehicle and felony evading

SUMMARY:
On Sunday, November 1, 2020, at approximately 12:46 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/ Needles Police initiated a traffic stop on a reported stolen vehicle near the intersection of Needles Hwy and Broadway St. The vehicle driven by the suspect failed to yield and began to evade deputies at a high rate of speed through residential neighborhoods in the City of Needles and eventually into Mohave Valley, Arizona. Deputies pursued the vehicle for approximately 5.1 miles before the driver stopped near the intersection of Hwy 95 and King St. in Mohave Valley, Arizona.
Deputies conducted a felony traffic stop and detained the driver William Quintanar. He was subsequently arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and for felony evading. Quintanar was transported and booked into Needles Jail for CVC 10851(A) - Possession of a stolen vehicle and CVC 2800.1(A) Felony Evading. Quintanar's bail is set at $100,000 and he is currently in custody at West Valley Detention Center and awaiting his court date.
