* Flood Warning for... Central McDowell County in western North Carolina...
* Until 700 PM EDT.
* At 244 PM EDT, Areas of highwater lingering along the Catawba river, from around Pleasant Gardens to the lake, will gradually improve as the late day period wears on. Floodwaters within select low-lying areas will slowly recede. Some locations that may experience flooding include... Marion, Old Fort, Lake James, Lake James State Park, Pleasant Gardens and Nebo.
* AFFECTED AREAS: MCDOWELL, NC
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
